Methodologically, digital workflows are described that integrate three-dimensional scans of the defect area, computer-aided design (CAD), and selective layer build-up (SLA\/DLP\/FDM\/PolyJet). Material requirements\u2014biocompatibility, color and texture options, and mechanical properties\u2014are discussed; supplementary post-processing steps such as surface finishing and silicone vulcanization are part of the process. Initial case studies show that digitally manufactured form aids and denture bases significantly shorten the fitting time for the patient and enable higher reproducibility compared to purely manual techniques. Current limitations concern material colors, long-term stability, and the cost of high-quality printing materials, as well as regulatory requirements. Finally, future perspectives are outlined: standardized digital workflows, individualized color mixing, hybrid manufacturing approaches, and interdisciplinary training can improve patient care. Early in his career, he specialized in combining dental technology, medicine, and innovative manufacturing technologies, subsequently taking on numerous leadership positions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>From\u00a01994 to 2003, Andreas Velten served as\u00a0CEO of VDZ Velten Dental Zentrum GmbH. At the same time, from\u00a01998 to 2003, he was\u00a0co-owner of Easy-Air \/ Lab-Air GbR.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In\u00a02003, his professional focus increasingly shifted toward plastics technology and industrial manufacturing. Until\u00a02013, he served as\u00a0CEO of VKT Velten Kunststofftechnik GmbH\u00a0and\u00a0KV Kunststoff-Vertriebs GmbH. From\u00a02003 to 2011, he also served as\u00a0CEO of KPV Kunststoffproduktions- und Vertrieb GmbH.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since\u00a02013, Andreas Velten has been\u00a0CEO of IFA3D Medical Solutions GmbH. Since the same year, he has also served as\u00a0CTO of Institut f\u00fcr Anaplastologie GmbH &amp; Co. KG. In these roles, he combines his many years of experience in dental technology and plastics engineering with advanced technologies, particularly in the field of additive manufacturing and medical applications.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Since\u00a02018, Andreas Velten has also been\u00a0co-owner of Havelfun GmbH.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Professional Engagement and Associations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In addition to his entrepreneurial activities, Andreas Velten has been actively involved in professional associations and organizations for many years.
